Sheet metal (coil or blanks) is fed into a press machine.
A die set (punch & die) applies force to cut or form the sheet.
Multiple operations may be performed:
- Cutting: Blanking, piercing, notching.
- Forming: Bending, embossing, coining
- Combination: Progressive or compound dies for multiple steps.
Components are finished with deburring, plating, painting, powder coating, or galvanizing.
