Machined Components

Machined components are essential parts manufactured from both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ranging in size from small watch gears to large turbines. These components serve various industries and applications. Their primary purpose is to meet specific dimensional requirements like flatness, roundness, or parallelism crucial for precise functioning.

Flanges

Flanges can be made from metal or plastic. A flange is installed over the end of a tube to provide a surface for connecting pipes or tubes together. The other end of this connection can also be an elbow or tee connection to connect multiple tubes together at one point. Flanges are manufactured by machining steel into flat parts with rounded corners for strength and durability.
Types of Flanges Machined Components
There are several different types of flanges.

  •  Bolted flanges : which are used to join two sections of pipe or tubing together.

  •  Swept flange : which has an angled surface that allows for more flexibility during installation.

  •  Thrust flange : which is used to connect two pipes that have different diameters or when there is a large gap between them

  •  Thrust flange : which is used to connect two pipes that have different diameters or when there is a large gap between them

  •  Wafer flange : which is flat on one side with an angled surface on the other side.

  •  Step flange : which is similar to a wafer but with two or more angled surfaces instead of just one.
Uses for Flanges Machined Components
Flanges machined components are used in a variety of different situations, including

In the construction industry, flanges machined components are often used to join pipes.

In mechanical engineering, flanges machined components are a critical part of many machines.

Flanges machined components can also be found in many types of equipment that need to be connected to something else.

Flanges machined components are also used in piping systems in order to ensure that they remain sealed when pressure builds up inside them due to pressure changes in their environment

Flanges can also be used for aesthetic purposes. They're often used in plumbing systems as part of shower heads and faucets
